About the Author
I’ve been playing and studying darts for years, mostly out of curiosity about why certain decisions work better than others. I’m not a professional player, and I don’t pretend to be one. What I am is someone who has spent a long time digging into the patterns, probabilities, and strategic choices that shape 501 matchplay. Over time, I started tracking my own matches, testing different checkout routes, and analyzing how small changes in decision‑making affect scoring, setups, and finishing percentages. That eventually grew into the tools and strategy guides on this site — things I originally built for myself, then realized might help other players who think the same way. I’ve played in local leagues, practiced with competitive players, and logged thousands of legs while experimenting with miss‑geometry, route selection, and pressure‑based adjustments. Everything here comes from that mix of real experience, data, and trial‑and‑error. When something works, I explain why. When something doesn’t, I explain that too.
